Founded in 1874, the San Diego Society of Natural History is the oldest scientific institution in southern California, and the third oldest west of the Mississippi. The Museum’s vision is to be the premier collections-based environmental education and natural history research resource in our region. It provides programs that are timely, user-friendly, and relevant to the real-life needs of the diverse populations of the San Diego-Baja California region today and tomorrow.  Event Network was methodically chosen by the Museum in early 2011; and our collective goal is to define the Museum as a destination retail experience in Balboa Park.
